Founder & Executive Vice Chairman
As Founder of Cashfac Paul pioneered the development of Cashfac Virtual Bank Technology® (VBT) which has driven the company’s growth and is now deployed in organisations around the world. Paul continues to champion innovation within the company, working with clients and internal teams to shape the future direction of the company’s solutions and services.
Prior to founding Cashfac Paul held leadership positions in several financial services firms including being the founding director of Lloyds Bank Stockbrokers and the finance and operations director of Lloyds’ government bond trading operations. Subsequently, Paul was the lead consultant in the creation of Nomura’s government bond market-making operations in London.
As a Price Waterhouse management consultant Paul’s focus was large scale capital markets operations, banks and compliance; establishing the computer audit capability in Singapore and leading IT reviews for the Financial Services, Defence and Retail industries.
Paul is a member of the Securities Institute and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. He is also a member of the London Society of Rugby Football Union Referees.
Jeremy Marchant
Chief Commercial Officer
Jeremy reports to our Executive Vice Chairman and is responsible for the commercial side of our business.
Jeremy leads the commercial side of Cashfac, framing our key industry value propositions and leading Business Development, delivery and relationship management teams.
Jeremy works with new clients to help them define the business case for investing in Cashfac and how they can maximise the benefits they get from the platform as their business evolves.
Jeremy’s expertise is in leading and advising organisations in how to transform their business by investing in technology and transformation. He has worked in Financial Services for over
25 years, spending 17 years in Commercial and Investment Banking at UBS, Barclays Capital and Citibank, followed by leadership roles in technology and business advisory at EY Consulting and Accenture.
Jeremy is a Chartered Management Accountant and a Chartered Member of the Securities Institute, with an MBA from Cambridge University and a Masters from the London School of Economics.
Helena McInally
Company Secretary and Director of Corporate Services
Helena is Company Secretary and leads the Cashfac teams responsible for Regulatory Compliance, Staff Well-Being services, Finance, Legal Services including patenting and contracts, and shareholder communications.
She coordinates all these services covering Cashfac operations across all Cashfac offices. Helena was one of earliest team members at Cashfac progressing to Group Company Secretary after graduating with the ICSA in 2006 and she firmly supports the philosophy of internal training and promotion.
Under Helena’s guidance, Cashfac PLC became a regulated business in October 2018, licensed as a Payments Services Provider and her team works continuously to meet the strict governance obligations of that licence, protecting stakeholder interests.
Kevin Stewart
Director of Product Development
Kevin leads all technology development at Cashfac. Most recently he has overseen the delivery of Cashfac’s banking app, Slide. Having worked at Cashfac since 1996 he knows the product set from the inside having started out as a developer and moving through to the senior management team. Kevin helps shape Cashfac’s strategic direction in native cloud technology and, having seen the progressive migration of Cashfac’s customer base through each series of its Virtual Bank Technology, he knows the value to the end customer of predictable delivery.
Prior to joining Cashfac, Kevin worked for 6 years as a Software Developer on simulation and training solutions in military applications. Kevin holds a BEng in Communications and Electronic Engineering from Napier University, Edinburgh.
Tiffany Stockton
Implementation Programme Director
Tiffany is the Implementation Programme Director at Cashfac. As Head of Implementation Services, Tiffany manages the Implementation Services team who are responsible for the successful delivery of all Virtual Bank Technology projects.
Prior to joining Cashfac Tiffany was at Fraxion Software responsible for managing the professional services division in the UK. This included managing the service delivery teams implementing large scale solutions into banks and large non-bank financial institutions.
Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Business Science with Honours from the University of Cape Town and has over 15 years’ experience in the delivery of large-scale business solutions. This includes complex cash management and bank connected solutions into bankruptcy platforms, investment platforms, pension and wealth management organisations.
Lee Cottrill
Director of Operations
Lee is responsible for the Global Cashfac Managed Operations, Technical Services and Application Support teams which complete FCA regulated Payment Initiation Services (PIS) and Account Information Services (AIS) on behalf of Cashfac customers.
In addition, Lee is responsible for the overall management of Cashfac’s IT infrastructure which includes the Cashfac Cloud; a segregated secure hosting services platform that utilises Microsoft Azure spanning multiple geographical regions.
Lee has been with Cashfac since the Managed Services function was formed in 2007, working with customers at various stages as an Analyst, Service Manager and Head of Managed Operations. In that time, he has successfully managed two data centre migrations culminating in the adoption of a public cloud infrastructure in Azure and been involved in numerous projects. As Director of Operations, he has formed part of the team that has allowed Cashfac to successfully gain FCA regulated status as a PISP and AISP.
Prior to joining Cashfac, Lee worked as a Marine Engineer on crude oil tankers and as a Croupier whilst completing an honours degree in Computer Networks and Distributed Systems.
Teresa van Rooyen
Director of Quality Assurance
Teresa, originally from South Africa began her career in software testing when working as a Product Specialist for the International Trade division for one of the largest South African Banks. This was when she realized that a career in software testing was what she wanted to pursue.
After moving to Scotland, Teresa joined Cashfac as a Software Tester and now oversees the Quality Assurance function across all projects. She has recently taken on a new role of ensuring the smooth implementation of the project scrum teams which will allow for better service and delivery to Cashfac’s customers. Teresa is ISTQB Certified at Advanced Test Manager Level and has completed her ILM Level 4 Award in Leadership and Management. Teresa also holds a Master of Arts Honours Degree in Business Management for Financial Services.
John Ferguson
Chief Risk Officer
As Chief Risk Officer John reports directly to the Executive Vice Chairman and is responsible for Group Risk Management. His responsibilities include ownership of the strategic and operational risk framework and ensuring its alignment to business strategy. John works closely with the Head of Compliance on governance, risk and compliance projects across the business, including the maintenance and extension of Cashfac’s certified Information Security Management System.
John has a total of 18 years’ experience with Cashfac, previously holding roles including Product Director, Head of Managed Services, Head of E-Banking Consultancy and various development positions.
Prior to re-joining Cashfac in 2008, John spent seven years with HBOS plc in the Retail & Corporate Banking sector leading diverse technical & business teams on large scale systems integration & business-critical projects. During this time, John held senior positions in Project & Programme Management and IT Service Management.
John has a background in software development in the Banking and Financial Services sector. He is a qualified ITIL V2 and PMI practitioner and is a certified ISO27001 Internal Auditor. John also holds an MSc in E-Commerce.
David Russell
Director of Relationship Management
David is responsible for the Relationship Management function at Cashfac, working with our customers to ensure that they continue to drive maximum business benefit from their solution.
With over 30 years’ experience in the banking industry, David is a Cash Management professional with a significant track record across Product and Sales disciplines, and a particular focus on delivering client money solutions tailored to individual sector needs. Prior to joining Cashfac, David was at NatWest Group as Head of CRM for Business Banking.
David is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, and holds a certificate in Cash Management from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
David Houghton
Chairman
Having been non-Executive Director and Company Secretary of Cashfac Pty Ltd, the wholly-owned Australia subsidiary of Cashfac Plc. for several years, David also serves as the company’s Chairman.
David is a Chartered Accountant and has held numerous senior roles in various quoted and private companies including private equity owned Inexus Plc.
With a career spanning 40 years, David has held Board level appointments as a CFO/Finance and non-Executive Directorships in both Australia and the United Kingdom.

Joseph Jeng MA, MBA (Harvard)
Non-Executive Director
Joseph is a visionary founder and angel investor of businesses that provide new-economy infrastructures.
Joseph has a proven track record of guiding fast-growth technology companies. He was Founder and CEO of Altatron Inc., a supply-chain manufacturing business, which merged in 1998 with Flextronics, a multibillion-dollar manufacturer. Joseph was also President of Digital Optics, a VC-funded technology start-up and past Executive of Spectra-Physics, an NYSE-listed laser company.
Today Joe serves as General Partner of private angel investment funds with investments in the Americas, Europe and China. He sits as Board Director of several companies with interests in laser and wireless technologies and VOIP infrastructure systems.
Andy Blair
Non Executive Director
Andrew qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1998. He spent his subsequent career primarily in the regulated financial services industry as a director of both listed and private companies.
From 2004 until his retirement in June 2021 he was COO, and latterly CEO, of Ennismore Fund Management Limited, a boutique hedge fund manager. Andrew is currently a non-executive director of two investment funds.
