Do you know what Open Banking is and the opportunities it could offer to your business? Have you assessed the risk and opportunities of integrating it into your wealth and investment proposition? Hear the insights from industry experts in this open banking webinar.

January 2018 saw the launch of Open Banking in the UK. Now, there are over 5 million users of Open Banking in the UK—an increase of 1 million people alone from September 2021 to January 2022.

That means over 5 million UK citizens are benefiting from the enhanced user experience and control that open banking brings—even though they may not realize it themselves. Outside the UK, politicians and regulators in Canada and Australia are especially pushing open banking to drive competition and innovation in financial services.

However, despite impressive adoption numbers, sector maturity and adoption levels vary widely. Some sectors have moved faster than others. Whilst many retail banking customers have experienced Open Banking capabilities, this is primarily through their clearing bank or a FinTech.

The Wealth and Investment sector is now in deep discussion on how and when to deploy Open Banking to their business models. It is one of the key strategic decisions for the industry.

In this webinar, we explore current thinking in the wealth and investment sector, key use cases for open banking, and how best to navigate the complexities and the opportunities it offers to first movers in the market.

Topics that will be discussed:

  • What is Open Banking?
  • What Open Banking trends are we seeing in the financial services industry?
  • What is the opportunity for wealth managers and investment firms?
  • What is the risk of doing nothing?
  • The benefits of a digital cash open banking platform
  • How open banking and digital cash are linked to the strategic objectives of wealth managers
